Energy Medicine

The Energy Medicine Institute says, the body’s energies are the key to health, vitality, and well-being. Energy medicine is the art and science of working with and teaching people to work with these energies to empower them to live happier, healthier lives. Long recognized by Eastern cultures, subtle energy fields are only recently being detected, studied, and utilized by Western medicine. Energy medicine is transforming health care, as well as having an impact on education, business, sports, and all other endeavors involving human performance. Energy has an impact on all of life, how we live in our bodies and how we relate to our communities and environments every day.

Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation and reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch or near touch. Crushing on Chamomile

I’d love to share about some of the things I’ve been exploring lately. For my whole adult life, I’ve been endlessly curious about health and wellness. I want to try All. The. Things. I kept checking in with myself to see if it felt right for me and it never did. I had this underlying fear that they may be too much for me… like they’d blow a circuit in my mind and I’d have a psychotic break from which I’d never return, but yet, some of the breakthroughs sounded amazing!

In 2020 I finally started to feel the call to work with plant medicine so I asked my herbalist, who studied for years in the Amazon, for her plant medicine recommendation and she said, “Why don’t you start with Chamomile.” I giggled thinking she was joking. She was not. I didn’t even know what she meant by that. I wasn’t going to see God by drinking a cuppa Chamomile!
